Nurse
Welcome to the Nurse's Office.The main function of the school nurse and the nurse's aide is to provide for the health concerns of students, managing health problems and injuries when they occur, administer medications, and provide support for the teachers with up-to-date health information and health lessons for the classroom. Children who are healthy, and who are getting good nutrition and proper rest are better able to learn and participate in class. Please inform the school nurse if there are any health concerns for your child that the school should be aware of and any changes in emergency contact information or phone numbers. The cost is $0-$30 per month, depending on family size and income. For more information call: 1-800-543-7105. Medication Policy All medications possessed by a student on school property must be registered with the nurse or nurse’s aide. Medication shall include all medicines prescribed by a physician and any over-the-counter medicines. Students should not have medications with them during school hours. The nurse may dispense no medication without a written order by the doctor or parent/guardian signifying the name of the medication, dosage and the reason for giving the medication. All medications shall be administered by the school nurse or designee, or self-administered by the student upon written request.
